Pledgeball launch Women’s Euro competition

Our friends at Pledgeball are rallying fans to show support for their national team by making pro-environmental pledges during the Women’s Euros – and the Pledgeball League champion will be the nation whose fans commit to saving the most carbon emissions.

Prizes are up for grabs too with the opportunity to win a digital copy of FIFA 22 and one of two signed copies of Nick Hornby’s Fever Pitch.

Football Supporters Europe also back Pledgeball so expect stiff competition from across the continent – but like the Euros we’d love to see England come out on top.

Deborah Dilworth, the FSA’s Women’s Game Network manager, said: “It is a pleasure to team up with Pledgeball. Football supporters are a real force for change and supporters groups across the country do so many amazing things for good causes.”

Another climate campaign kicking off this summer is The Ball, spearheaded by Spirit of Football. The Ball launched at Battersea Park on 10th July and will travel across the globe before heading to the Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, showcasing climate action and garnering pledges along the way.
