REGISTER: The Fans’ Weekend

This is a story from the FSF archive – the FSF and SD merged to become the FSA in 2019.

– Registration for the Fans’ Weekend is closed.

– FSF members are still entitled to attend the FSF AGM free of charge if they wish, simply email your name and member ID to [email protected].

– Delegates can download conference packs, read more on election info, and transport/hotel details here.

The FSF will team up with Supporters Direct (SD) this summer to bring all football fans together at one big event – The FSF and SD Fans’ Weekend. As part of the Fans’ Weekend both organisations’ AGMs will take place on Saturday 7th July (Grand Connaught Rooms, London) while there’s fun and games to be had on Saturday night and Sunday too…

  • Saturday daytime: Keynote speech from Gabriele Marcotti, workshops, AGMs.
  • Saturday evening: the FSF’s Football Writers Awards.
  • Sunday 8th: SD Shield and SD Cup (at Enfield Town).

  • Saturday daytime (9.30am-6.30pm, Grand Connaught Rooms, London): A full day of action with a keynote speech from Gabriele Marcotti, FSF and SD AGMs and eight fans’ workshops with guest speakers covering subjects such as the Elite Player Performance Plan, racism in the game, supporter liaison officers, football governance, and the history of football tactics.   • Saturday evening (7.30pm doors, 8.30pm KO, Grand Connaught Rooms, London): The FSF’s Football Writers Awards will see the return of our comedy panel and awards show, featuring MOTD2’s Kevin Day, Guardian Football Weekly’s Barry Glendenning, ex-England international Michael Gray, and Arsenal legend Perry Groves. The best of both professional and fan journalism will be honoured, with details on this year’s award categories to be confirmed very shortly. Do not miss.
  • Sunday 8th July: The SD Shield will be competed for between Fisher FC and Lewes FC, while the SD Cup will see Enfield Town FC take on Wrexham FC, with both matches being played at Enfield Town’s Queen Elizabeth Stadium.
