Win a signed copy of Andy Legg’s autobiography

This is a story from the FSF archive – the FSF and SD merged to become the FSA in 2019.

Former Cardiff City star Andy Legg will be visiting Waterstone’s Cardiff on Saturday, March 21st, at 12.30 pm to sign copies of his new autobiography, Alive and Kicking, and FSF Cymru have five signed copies to give away. Read on for more details.

He will also be signing copies at Ninian Park on Sunday, time to be confirmed. Email Gwenan Davies for further details.

Andy Legg is one of the best-loved players in Welsh international football and his legendry long throw-in earned him a place in the record books.

One of the select few to play for south Wales arch-rivals Swansea City and Cardiff City, Andy played six times for Wales and more than 600 League games for Swansea, Notts County, Birmingham City, Peterborough, Reading and Cardiff.

But in 2005 his life was turned upside down when a lump in his neck turned out to be cancer. Alive and Kicking is Andy’s emotional account of his treatment, his fears for his life and how messages of support from his fans gave him the strength to fight on and return to the game.

To win a signed copy of Andy’s new book sign up to the FSF’s monthly Fan Mail newsletter (see box left) and the FSF will send details on how to enter on Wednesday, 1st April.

Alive and kicking is published by Accent Press and is part of the Quick Reads series in Wales.
